An incredible piece of Apollo history. This Power and Servo Assembly (PSA) module, Serial No. 1, was flown on the last un-crewed test of the Block 1 command module, Flight 202, on August 25, 1966. It was part of the first Apollo guidance and navigation system to actually reach space! Now how cool is that?
There is a Yellow FLIGHT 202 stamp on the top side below the description. On one side is an inspector stamp and the famous NASA Flight Triangle Stamp. Condition is used and is exactly as I removed it from PSA Tray # 8 shortly before this listing. This module reads: Resolver Drive Amplifier part # 1007523- 011 REV Serial # ACSK. 1.
Extremely rare logic modules like these, made by Radiation, Inc. were part of the ground support computer equipment for Lunar Test Article 8, or LTA-8; the first man-rated Lunar Module in the Apollo Program. It was there in Houston, May 1968, in building 32 at the Manned Space Center (now Johnson Space Center), when NASA astronauts Jim Irwin, John Bull and Gerry Gibbons put the LM through its paces in a vacuum chamber to prove it was finally ready to fly. Pre-dating integrated circuits, these logic modules were very important in their compact, plug design, making servicing super easy compared to the larger, more prominent vacuum tubes of the era. Now you can own a piece of this Apollo History. Each module is unique, and comes with a schematic detailing it’s exact purpose.

Apollo 4 (also known as AS-501) was the first uncrewed test flight of the Saturn V launch vehicle, the type used by the U.S. Apollo program to send the first astronauts to the Moon. The space vehicle was assembled in the Vertical Assembly Building, and was the first to be launched from Launch Complex 39 at the KSC.
These Block I Rope Memory Modules were installed in the AGC onboard the command module, and were critical in initiating major modes which were dependent upon trajectory or guidance functions. They were recovered from the Command Module after splashdown, and ended up in Virgil Redgate’s warehouse in Texas in 1976, where they were saved by Jimmie Loocke.
